Love in the Details was born in Bonn, Germany, when founders Jared Ho, Sophie Starck, and Jay Damaraju met through Loyola Marymount University's International Documentary program. What began as conversations about our futures quickly turned into a shared passion for capturing real life as it unfolds — honestly, cinematically, and with intention.
Grounded in documentary-style storytelling, our work blends a love for cinematography, collaboration, and the beauty of weddings and events with strong practical experience in film. Through our film and TV production background and a deep commitment to clear, thoughtful communication, we work closely with each client to tell their story in a way that feels personal, timeless, and true.

Questions Couples Often Ask
This is a lot to read… can we just meet instead?
Absolutely! We prefer meeting in person because it gives us a chance to answer your questions and get to know you. We believe your wedding film should feel personal, so let's skip the long emails and have a conversation. Send us your preferred package, wedding date, venue, and a little about yourselves.
What is the normal delivery time?
Our photos are typically delivered within 2–3 weeks, while wedding films are delivered within 90 days after the wedding.
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! We travel worldwide and love capturing weddings in new places and cultures.
How are travel expenses handled?
For weddings in Southern California, there are no additional travel fees.
For weddings outside of Southern California, travel expenses are quoted separately based on the wedding location. For destination weddings, travel costs may include flights, accommodations, transportation, and other necessary travel expenses. We'll provide a clear travel estimate upfront so there are no surprises.
Do you offer custom packages?
Most Definitely! We are happy to offer custom packages to fit your specific needs and vision. Whether you need additional coverage, multiple locations, or something completely unique, we're happy to create a package that works best for you. Just let us know what you have in mind!
Do you film anything besides weddings?
Absolutely! While we specialize in weddings, filmmaking is what we know best. We have experience creating all types of content, including engagements, sports, documentaries, short films, commercials, and more.

Can we choose the music in our film?
We actually encourage you to choose the music for your film because it's your story. We want the music to feel personal and reflect your relationship, your style, and the emotions of your wedding day.
We'll work with you to make sure the music fits naturally with the story and overall feel of your film.
What if it rains or the timeline changes?
No worries! We understand that things don't always go according to plan, especially on a wedding day. We're flexible and will adapt to changes in weather, timing, or the schedule to make sure we still capture all the important moments.
